In a letter dated February 19th, 2010 addressed to James P. Hoffa, General President of the IBT and others. The letter requests a special Multi-Region Change of Operations hearing as soon as possible. The letter originated from YRC's VP of Labor Relations. >>>

FY2011 Request: $78.8 billion for DOT
02.02.2010 -The overall budget request for the U.S. Department of Transportation calls for $78.8 billion in fiscal year 2011, an increase of 2 percent from the 2010 level of $77 billion. Read the report at whitehouse.gov
Ban on Texting for Truck Drivers
Truck drivers who text while driving commercial vehicles may be subject to civil or criminal penalties of up to $2,750.00
U.S Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood today announced federal guidance to expressly prohibit texting by drivers of commercial vehicles such as large trucks and buses.  The prohibition is effective immediately and is the latest in a series of actions taken to combat distracted driving since the Secretary convened a national summit on the issue last September.  >>>
